    Hello Bold themes' team,

I am the developer of this website and i am facing one problem.

When i use YOAST SEO plugin and update the page title and page description on yoast seo settings for each of the pages, the titles and descriptions are visible on the top region of the pages ( I have marked them on the screenshot attached below )

Could you please help me how to resolve it.

    Thanks

    Hi Sayed,

Thank you for purchasing our theme.

We are not so sure we understand what are you referring to. Do you want to completely remove the area on which the Title appears?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Sayed,

Once you add titles with Yoast SEO plugin, header will display that title and site name, instead of the page title.

In order to show only title, without site name, you could change page title template to display only the title. In Yoast > Titles & Metas > Pages Title template, you could add title template as:

    %%title%%

Other option would be to switch to  All in One SEO Pack plugin, that does not affect header title.

Let us know if that helped.

    Hi Sayed,

If you are referring to the Excerpt text -

Please navigate to the Page you want to edit and scroll to the bottom of the page, there you can locate the Excerpt text field.

Please refer to this article for more information:

How to change the Excerpt text and Header background image?

If Excerpt text is not visible, then please navigate to the top of the page editor and under Screen options select Excerpt.

Let us know if that helped.

    Hi Sayed,

Please note that if you are using Yoast plugin -  the title of the page will be the title you have added in Yoast, not the actual name of the page.

What you can do is - disable default headline in Appearance> Customize> General settings:

Or switch to  All in One SEO Pack plugin, that does not affect header title.

Let us know if you need additional assistance.

    Hi Sayed,

We are sorry that you are having a hard time with this, but this is simply how our theme works.

If you take a look at the the theme's source code - file framework/boldthemes_functions.php you will notice the following line:

    $title = is_front_page() ? get_bloginfo( 'description' ) : wp_title( '', false );

    within boldthemes_header_headline function.

Our theme uses the STANDARD way for retrieving page title - wp_title() function. This means that Yoast uses wp_title filter to modify return value of wp_title function changing it according to meta title defined in Yoast. The problem is not on the side of the theme, but this is the way how Yoast and WordPress API work.

If you want to use Yoast and display two different title versions, you need to add piece of code on your own after the above mentioned line and remove the part of the title you do not want to be displayed.

We, unfortunately, cannot further assist you with this, as any customization would be out of scope for support.

If this is a deal breaker for you, please note that we do offer a full refund.

    Thank you for understanding.
