I have gone into the style sheets manually and changed the font and skin colors. I cannot locate the element that is the dark skin behind the main menu with a small screen size or tablet size. Everything is fine for laptop view, I would like to know where to look for what css controls the skins in smaller views. Thanks in advance for any help

    Hi Bonnie,

The background of the hamburger menu on responsive depends on the alt logo, and sticky header.

Alt logo is usually light version of logo (which is supposed to be used on dark backgrounds). The logic is this:

    1. If you do not have Alternative logo defined, main logo will be used in all cases
    2. If you have Alternative logo defined, it will be used on top of the page when Content Below Menu and Sticky Header options are activated. This set up will also change the color of menu and widgets to light.

Please consider adding alt logo in order to adjust the background color of the menu.

Also, we wouldn't recommend making changes in the code directly, since they will be overrun once the theme is updated. Please use either Custom CSS field in Appearance >Customize >General Settings, or a child theme.
