Change columns width

    Hi there,

    I'm having a hard time changing the column proportions in the cost calculator select. I would like the Quote Item Label to be bigger than the ddl label (drop down options) or at least have them be 50/50.

    Thank you,

    Monica

    Hi Monica,

    Thank you for purchasing our plugin.

    In order to adjust the width of the items, please try adding the code below to Additional CSS field of your theme.

    .btQuoteBooking .btQuoteItem {
        padding: 0 0 0 365px;
    }

    Let us know if this helped.

    Thank you for the prompt reply but not quite what I was looking for. Please look at the attached images; Pic 1 is what happens when I enter the code you provided. Pic 2 is what I'm hoping for.

    Also, I would like to have a switch button that when is on gives 10% off the total cost.

    And last but not least, I'm getting an "Error! Please try again later." when submitting a form. I tried both with and without ReCAPTCHA, tried deleting my reCAPTCHA key and creating a new one, and also deactivating the other form plug-in I had. Nothing worked.

    Thanks again for all the help!

    Hi Monica,

    Thanks for the clarification.

    Please try the code below, instead of the one we previously sent you.

    .btQuoteBooking .btQuoteItem label {
        width: 355px;
    }
    .btQuoteItemInput {
        width: 50%;
        position: absolute;
        right: 20px;
    }

    Please adjust the values according to your needs.

    In order to have discount calculated, you would need to use Cost Calculator group element, and define it with JS pseudo code. You can find more info on how it works in our online documentation.

    So, for example, your JS pseudo code would look something like this.

    switch = $1;
    if (switch == 0) final = switch;
    if (switch == 1) final = switch - (switch * 0.10);
    return final;

    Please note that this is just an example based on the info provided, and you will need to adjust the code according to your needs.

    Regarding the emails not being sent, please inspect you server error logs in order to find out the error details. Probably your smtp service requires some additional authentication or even prevents sending an email to third party domains as spam prevention.

    Anyhow, the first step would be to inspect error logs. Please:

    1. Check if your WP instance is sending emails from other third party plugins such as Contact Form 7 and similar

    2. Check with your hosting provider about its antispam policy - maybe the emails are treated as spam and not sent by the server because of that.

    3. You can try enforcing smtp method of sending emails: WP mail smtp - plugin, it can help with the issue number two as well.

    Let us know should the problem persists.

    Thanks again for the reply. I'm very impressed with your customer support! :)

    So I played with different formulas in the Cost Calculator group element but I think the problem is that I don't need the discount for a specific group but for the whole cost calculator container. We are offering a 10% off the total cost when people book more than one service. Please see attached screenshot for your reference.

    I'm working on the form submission error in the meantime.

    Hi Monica,

    Thank you for your kind words, we are glad we can help!

    Regarding the calculation with discount, yes, you need to add Cost Calculator group, and then add all the elements to it (drag and drop).

    Then, define JS pseudo code for that calculator.

    So, the code would be:

    first_floor = $1;
    second_floor = $2;
    third_floor = $3;
    grilles = $4;
    storm_windows = $5;
    screens = $6;
    number_screens = $7;
    booking = $8;
    ...etc //add all elements you want included in the group
    if (booking == 0) final = first_floor + second_floor + third_floor + grilles + storm_windows + screens + number_screens;
    if (booking == 1) final = (first_floor + second_floor + third_floor + grilles + storm_windows + screens + number_screens) - ((first_floor + second_floor + third_floor + grilles + storm_windows + screens + number_screens) * 0.10);
    return final;

    Again, note that this is just an example, and you need to further customize it according to your needs.

    Let us know if you need additional help.
