Optimize included fonts

    Hi,

I've just figured out that the plenty included fonts (.ttf and .woff) are slowing down the theme by far. Is there any way I can optimize that or exclude as many fonts as possible? Is there any central file where I can edit which font is included?

    Thanks!

    Best,

    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,

Please note that we don't suggest making changes to the theme files, instead we recommend that you try using caching plugin, for example W3 Total Cache https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/.

Of course, there might be other reasons for slower loading, and you can find solutions in the following articles - 5 Quick Ways to Speed Up Your WordPress Site, and The Ultimate Guide to Boost WordPress Speed & Performance.

thanks for your respond. I am already using a cache plugin in pro version as well as a plugin for further speed optimization.

I‘d like to reduce page speed by cut down usage of fonts hence it‘s taking longest during the loading process (testet on webpagetest.org). that doesnt make sense to me because I dont even use that many fancy fonts!

Can you please give me some information if there is any centralised file handeling the fonts or for what reason there are so many different font files and styles needed?

    Thanks!

    Best,

    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,

    Thank you for your patience.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to optimize the fonts that easily as they are contained within the framework, so adjustment like that would require major customization of the theme.

Regarding to why there are that many fonts - it is so that there would be greater variations while choosing fonts and icons.

    Thank you for understanding.
