    Hi there,

    I want to include a featured image on posts (so that I can use the image on a blog grid), but I don't want the featured image to actually appear on the post page itself.

    Is there a way I can achieve this?

    Thanks for your help,
    Mark

    Hi Mark,

    In order to hide Featured image, than you should edit the Single post page. Please do the following: In bottom of the page, add Hide headline and  type "true".  Read the following article about the Single Post page whose settings all posts inherit.

    How to change the header and edit other Single Post settings?

    There are few third party plugins, for example: Hide Featured Image which might work as well.

    Thanks again for a speedy reply!

    I have tried the solution you suggested, but it doesn't seem to have worked. I have also tried a couple of third party plug ins, but they don't seem to do what I am looking for.

    Do you have any other suggestions?

    Thanks a lot,
    Mark

    Hi,

    Please try with the following statements:

    body.single-post .btMediaBox:first-of-type {
        display: none;
    }

    Let us know if this works.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Your suggestion sort of solves the problem, in that the featured image doesn't appear on the post page, but it does appear on the blog grid, as I wanted — thanks.

    However, although the featured image isn't on the post page, the space in which it would appear is still there, although blank.

    Do you have any further suggestions as to what I can do?

    Thanks very much,
    Mark

    Hi,

    It's not so easy since on your Post is set Columns Single Post  layout.

    Please consider changing it to Standard. Let us know of the outcome.
